Job Description: Senior digital IC circuit design engineering position available immediately for self-motivated, talented designers. BSEE/MSEE with at least five years of project lead/management experience, as well as supervisorial and mentor capability required. Customer contact experience is also a must. Candidates need a minimum of five years experience with high speed design, layout issues and coordination, simulation and verification tools. A working knowledge of HSPICE, verilog, and a layout editor is also required. An understanding of single and multi-port static RAM design is also a big plus. Position requires ability to plan architecture, design and optimize circuits, and coordinate layout of complex, full custom functions.

Designs typically push the technology edge at SEI. Our full custom designs push both performance and density limits. We are currently working with technologies down to .35u and die sizes 18mm on a side. Recent projects include a 64 bit RISC CPU, 200Mhz+ RAMDAC, 5ns embedded dual port SRAM, and a full custom 400k gate multimedia design, to name a few. An engineer can expect to be involved typically in 2 to 5 different projects per year. Design starting points range from marketing requirement documents to pre-existing designs which require modification. Responsibilities will include direct customer interaction.

Five years of experience using industry standard IC design packages such as HSPICE, Viewlogic, HDL's (Verilog or VHDL), Pearl (or Motive) and Dracula is required. Familiarity with Compass, Synopsys, or physical design tools is an additional advantage.

Salary: U.S. $55K-$100K, depending upon experience. Salaried, exempt position. Competitive benefit package. Relocation assistance available.
