Silicon Engineering is a hot-house of innovation. When we're not working on customers' designs, we're busy coming up with cores and intellectual property (IP) of our own that are available on a licensing basis. We have a significant IP base and patent portfolio, particularly in the field of 3D graphics, as well as an array of core products.

Our approach to core design is to develop a set of flexible base cores which we can quickly customize to meet your needs. You end up with exactly the product you want, with no compatibility worries with the rest of your system. You don't have to dig inside someone else's design to make it work in your own. And you don't end up with the same core your competition has - we can differentiate your products through variations on the base core. You get to market quickly, but without the disadvantages of the "cookie cutter" approach to core licensing.

In addition to the cores and IP, we also offer CAE products that we have developed for our own internal use and have made available for licensing. These are silicon design productivity tools - Caliper, an HSPICE post-processing tool for IC circuit design analysis, and Versim, a simulation environment for multi-contextual verification.
